Chennai, September 18: A delegation of journalists from Jammu and Kashmir, on a media study tour of Tamil Nadu organised by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Srinagar, visited the historic Walajah Big Mosque on Friday.
The delegation had an interaction with representatives associated with the mosque and was briefed about its heritage, history and religious significance. The journalists also got an opportunity to witness the architectural features and cultural traditions associated with the historic place of worship.
The visit provided the delegation with a meaningful experience and a glimpse into Tamil Nadu’s rich Islamic heritage and cultural diversity.
