Chennai, September 13: A 13-member media delegation from Srinagar has reached Chennai to participate in a week-long media tour organised by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) Srinagar.
The delegation, comprising journalists from Jammu and Kashmir, reached Chennai today after travelling from Srinagar via Bengaluru. The tour will continue until September 19 and will provide the participating journalists an opportunity to visit various government departments, institutions and development initiatives.
The delegation is being led by Shri Shahid Lone, Field Publicity Officer, CBC serving as the Conducting Officer, while Shri Ifham Ul Islam, Information Assistant, PIB Srinagar, is accompanying the delegation.
The media tour has been organised by Shri Salman Qazi, Director, PIB Srinagar, with the objective of facilitating greater media exposure to development initiatives, government programmes and institutional activities in Tamil Nadu.
The participating journalists will interact with officials and visit important institutions during the tour, gaining first-hand insights into various developmental and public welfare initiatives.
The Chennai visit is expected to provide the media delegation with an opportunity to explore and report on diverse aspects of Tamil Nadu’s development, governance, culture and institutional framework.
